Mountain Dew

I bought a can of this out of curiosity once from one of those sweet shops where they have the American versions. It was all right but nothing special to be honest.
 
bah, why do they have to give it the energy drink status, the fun of it is that its a standard soft drink that costs the same as normal coke etc, comes in big bottles but has a bunch of caffiene in it

I wont judge it till I taste what theyve given us over here though, if it tastes the same then great BUT paying more for it when as you say it should be the same price as coke, is not on :(:(

The little shop at the bottom of the road had loads when I walked past earlier... Bottles and cans, which is best? It was black branded with green and red writing, like above. I guess thats the UK stuff and not import...
 
I've never tried the US stuff, this is my first experience with Mountain Dew! I like it though, I'd have it over Coke or Pepsi any day!

The bottle says "Citrus Flavoured Soft Drink", not sure if the American stuff is Citrus :)
 
Bah, I hadn't even thought of the cost when they whack "energy drink" labels on things. £1.59 I assume is for the 500ml bottle, what a pile of turd. Probably is the same thing but they know theres fans of the drink so can fleece them for added cost.

As I said earlier, bunch of retards, fans of the drink have told them EXACTLY what they want reintroduced back in the UK so they've decided to go and release something different at a ridiculous cost, though admitedly, cheaper than importing cans.

Maybe a campaign of anger at them on their facebook page all requesting the normal(and diet) versions of the drink are reintroduced in the UK at normal soft drink prices.

Might see if I can't get a few at £1 for the novelty and hope its okay tasting, but at £1.59, i'll probably return to buying a 24 pack on/around my birthday every year as a treat.
 
Very disappointed. I love MD, but only the proper stuff. This is just not going to cut it.
