Just don't give up Dark Angel. I'm guilty of throwing in the towel as soon as i got a stick because i didn't gel with it straight away (the championship patch didn't help though). I also found it hard being amongst a group of people who were by far more skilled than me at fighters, but it's because of that that i'm now really enjoying it; i've resigned myself to losing, lots, but i learn and then feel far more satisfied if i ever do win.

Yea I knew the focus dash forward U2 which I can do a piece of pee.
The motion you mentioned is exactly how I was doing it alas it was not pulling pff. It looks easier on paper than exection heh.
Also gotta love suckering people when I put my Guiles sunglasses on and they suddenly zoon forward to try and attack only to be greeted by a charged sonic/or flash kick
See if this makes it easier -
First, do the flash kick, and hold up-back (or back) ie you're holding back from start to end. Incredibly simple
Then do the same, except after you press K, press and hold MK+MP. Again, just hold back/up-back. Don't wait for confirmation of the flash kick coming out before pressing MK+MP. Press MK+MP right after K without pause.
Once you've got that sorted, then just do the piece of pee dash into Ultra. If you press MK+MP really fast after K, you'll actually have time to see your focus come out before you do the dash motion.
If that doesn't help, i could do a vid, but it will be very much a case of those who can, do; those who can't, teach
I've yet to see the sunglasses in one of my fights actually. I'll make a note not to get suckered into 'punishing', at least not till i know how many 'recovery' frames it has.

out of interest, why would you want to do that?
Im not good at hit confirming so when Im not sure if a FK will connect... I always try to FADC out of it for safety. And letting off a sonic boom "mid juggle" would be nice for further damage maximisation if the FK did connect and I FADC-ed anyway.
i think you would have to do it with ex sonic boom, the normal one would be too slow
I think... (please correct me if I am wrong peeps) that the sonic boom is the fastest projectile in the game? (Or is it the tiger shot...)
Anywho, I think a HP sonic boom should do it, but depends if it can be juggled or not.
IMO it's even more useful. They can both be used as a 'get the hell off me' move and FADC'd for if it gets blocked. With the flash kick, if it doesnt hit, then the opponent has enough time to brew a cup of tea, muse over exactly how to punish you, before doing so. With a light dragon punch, they get pushed back, and need to react somewhat fast and move closer before punishing, usually.
The shoto one only appears more useful because the Ultra is easier to connect. But if you could do Guile's just as well, it's arguably more useful.

Dragons get pushed back and in a sense have a self serving defense mechanism.
Wheres FK is more punishable if blocked.
A seasoned Guile player would typically not FK unless they have 2 EX bars or the FK is guaranteed to connect.
Guy is incredibly fun though his links are hard (for me at least in comparison to Abel, i imagine you'll find him a doddle). All of his best combos can only be done in the corner though, i don't think any links to Ultra have been found other than a couple that require the other guy to be in the corner.
His Ultra 2 is great for punishing though, so i think i might start using that
Has anyone got any advice on the best way to set up Ken's second Ultra? I normally connect with a few kicks but it hardly does any damage and I'm not getting the full Ultra. I love Ryu's second ultra. Just enjoyed pulling that off against someone online.
Does anyone want to explain how I lost 400+ battle points in 1 loss? I had around 400 battle points me and a friend were fighting most of the night and after 1 of my losses when I went into my next fight it said I had 0 battle points? All my player points were still there but the battle points were gone, anybody had this happen to them?
