*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

It's relative. 10 miles is a lot further and more inconvenient than half a mile. Plus DHL depot is in the opposite direction from where I work so that means taking a chunk out of my saturday to go and fetch it.

Surely most people have the same sort of problem? Royal Mail pick up points are all over the place. There are 3 within a 10 minute drive of me. Most couriers have maybe one depot a city and if you don't live near one you're screwed. That's poor service IMO.

Anyway - not to blame DHL. I selected the Royal Mail Special Delivery Option for a reason. I suspect DHL were operating over the bank holiday so they were given the delivery.

Should count myself lucky I suppose. At least I know a courier has my phone and it's been sent out. Much better than the supply problems some of you are facing.

It's not the couriers fault, and having to drive 5 miles there and 5 miles back isn't exactly going to take up a "chunk of your saturday". It's what, 10 minutes each way? Poor you :p

Most places who specify on their websites that they only deliver to the invoice address usually will let you have it sent to work if you ring them and ask anyway.

LOL at your last pic Khan :D

I like this one

Back on topic.. Think I'm gonna get one of these when I am due an upgrade with Orange in June :)

edit: Bugger, it's one big pic!! The road one with the streaks of car lights is what I was referring to.

Camera isn't any better than the iPhone

I just noticed this a few pages ago but... the camera is way better than an iPhone - either you were using low quality settings or you were'nt taking your picture(s) properly.

Also nobody has said the Market is better than Apple's - it will get there with time but the Android Market is still new and growing.

I agree, I find the camera much better than the iPhone. If I get chance later I'll try and get a couple of pics to compare...

Got my Martin Fields protector yesterday, but I've ordered a Brando Anti-Glare one to compare with.

Should have a 16gb card and Car holder in the post today :)

The phone is very good. In the past i've always thought "I should have brought my camera as my phone's camera isn't great". I can't say I wont think that in the future but so far it hasn't crossed my mind.

T-mobile will let you do that, not sure if Vodafone or Orange will though, best to check first.

When you say T-Mobile will allow that does that mean if my current service provider is T-Mobile or if I'm going to use T-Mobile for the new contract? Sorry slow morning today. :p

Hey people, it sounds like a lot of you have been getting these from T-Mobile, is it exclusive to them and have you had any problems upgrading? When my contract is up I'll have been with T-Mobile for 18 months, do you think I will have any problem getting a desire free?

I really ask as I had a pretty bad experience with Orange and had been with them for 3-4 years and they decided they couldn't even give me a Blackberry for free.

Ive changed my number onto my new Orange sim. It was only the day after I got the phone but they was more than happy to do it for me, which is more than i can say for three.

They said it will take around 2 days to go through. I'll receive a text and then restart my phone and all will be good apparently. Roll on thursday.

I doubt you will have any problems tbh, the hardest part is getting the number from your current provider. They will NOT give it to you without a fight.

Best thing to do is find the best deal you can from any network, then phone up T-Mobile retentions, say you want to cancel, they will ask why, give details of the better offer and ask them to better it. I've found T-Mobile to be pretty good at doing this.

If they refuse to move on the price for the phone you might be able to get them to throw in free accessories

You will easily get the handset for free for around the 25 pounds a month mark.

Can anyone find the pound sign on the keyboard from the browser. It's set to English and I've checked the symbols page also.

Goto the symbols/numbers page and then select the page 1/2 (left of the space bar) to move onto the 2nd page - its on the top row.

Just spoken to O2 about getting my PAC and leaving O2, I told them I wanted the Desire when they asked why, and that was that. They didn't offer me anything or ask if there was anything that would make me stay with them. 9 years with O2, they aren't too worried that I'm now off to Orange.
