sounds like the same problem with some one i know, his wallet is full of money but he is too tight to dip in it to buy the maps

It was great to have double xp last night even though we couldnt have the map packs available. Jumped up to my 5th prestige. Hopefully we have a full week of double xp.
Hopefully I can prestige twice whilst this double xp is running to get to 7th

Dont you just download the one that is relevent to your region?
My friend spent 2 hours downloading it then realised it was the wrong one

Have you tried adding funds via the XMB? when i tried through the PSN store it would not work, when i did it through the XMB it did. its worth a try i guess.

XMB = Cross media bar = PS3 menu system
Go to account management in the PSN part a la here:
http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/2_80/account/accountinfo.html
and go to transaction management and add funds. thats how i did it and it worked
