Out of interest, why does Cameron have such a distaste for the US? Last thing we want is to alienate our closest allies, surely?

And the tories don't especially like Europe either, so what exactly is their problem with international relations? Little old tory Britain doesn't want to play with anyone else?

I don't pretend to be very knowledgeable about politics, btw, but it really doesn't look all that great from the perspective of a neutral, that the tory leader doesn't seem to get on all that well with other leaders :D

Tbh Obama has pretty outrageously snubbed Britain in recent months - even if it was Gordon Brown it was still thumbing his nose up at the UK. See all the current scapegoat-ing of BP for the Gulf of Mexico oil slick before any proper investigation has been done. The American system has always favoured US companies over foreign ones so I'm not really surprised at the premature blame on BP.
