Not really, because what about the next person, then the person after. The queue gets bigger and people will STILL lose out at the back.

I doubt it, i bet there where much smaller queue's at times, as with these things there are always peaks and troffs so to speak. From the examples so far its people passing a station and seeing a queue about 4 or 5 hours before closing and thought bugger queueing ill come back at 9pm or later and then got owned.
