What the ...... VIRGIN MEDIA

Don't get me started on Virgin lol. We asked for the phoneline to be cancelled because we never use it and not only do they continue to bill us for it, we keep getting the phone bill for the person who the number went to.

Total muppets who refuse to help you. I'm only with them because the internet is faster than the 512 that BT struggles to provide.

yep reason im with em is cus i HATE BT and tbh virgin are heading in same direction as BT.

and thats BT think they are to big to care of a few customers who complain so they fob em off if they leave puh who cares.

edit
there has to be or should be a law on peeps ( this new customers crap) getting better then a long term customer who has payed bill on time for four years and still gets less service then others who make one phone call and then gets upgraded.

edit 2

tbh i may actualy leave bugger it see how long i live with no net or my beloved discovery channel :(

They should really give the best deals to the long time members.. Without a doubt as a thanks

8th year with them now. But ofc it was ntlworld before

They did this to me. I told them to cancel my service so i could take out a new contract immediately for £30 less, instead she forwarded me to the cancellations dept and they reduced my bill to within £5 of what new customers were getting, plus upgraded the broadband to 20mb from 10mb. This was about 7 months ago.

so you actually told them you was going leave then rejoin and they said ok we will just save ya the hassle of rejoining.

can they actually say NO if I say i want to leave then rejoin as new customer could they say you cant?.

I've heard that the majorry of peope are able to get their sevices upgraded or price lowered from ringing them up so.. But I understand what you mean by If you threaten to leave and then they just say bb. I can't see that happening though.
And of course the complaints part of customer support is located in England so they have 'everything in front of them'

Id just tell them your leaving and why your leaving and if they dont do anything about it leave, then just start from fresh in your other half's name so you get a better price but also get one of your friends to reccomend it so you both get £30 credited to your accounts.

that's the other thing 4 years ago i recommended my dad still not seen the £30 :( i have said about it loads of time to them nothing.

I have a virgin phone,tv,broadband my

Broadband is 10mb
phone is M size
TV XL

I pay £50.75p per month excluding phone calls etc.

It's £47.49 including a HD box for new customers on their website

I pay £45 (ish) for Broadband (L), Phone (XL) and TV (XL inc HD). I've been with them for over 8 years & get a £23 'loyalty' discount

Im in the same boat

Telephone Line Rental 09 May - 08 June £11.99
Phone, Broadband And TV Saving 09 May - 08 June £-7.00
Fully Itemised Billing 09 May - 08 June £0.00
Free Voicemail 09 May - 08 June £0.00
Broadband Size: L 09 May - 08 June £25.00
T V Size: M 09 May - 08 June £0.00

checking the site now, I could easily lower my bill by about £10 - £15, and get better services.

Might just ring them up and cancel, then rejoin as a new customer as soon as ive been disconnected.

10 Meg BB.
Bobby Basic TV pack.
House phone.

Totals 31 quid a month for me. Damn fine price.

Ok update

rang the cancellation department said when can i leave without a fee blah blah blah.

I said i tried to get a better deal with no luck he said straight away i could save ya £20 a month.

So now I have XL phone so its free to use basically to landlines and that's the big part of my bill as normally phone bill is £20+ a month.

so its now

£49 a month that's it so not 100% what i was after but meh better :).

Give em a ring tell em your not happy and see what they say.

the bloke all so said ring back in 1 month and try again to see what we can do then.

edit

so now

BB 10Mb £25 ish
XL tv £25 ish
Phone XL £11.99

then i get discount so the total is

£49 plus any movies i rent but meh and free phone calls 24/7 :)

I suppose it depeneds on what kind of person you get on the other end of the line and what mood they're in. Not exactly a £20 saving though :)

Does anyone know the difference between M and M+ TV?

I think I'm going to ring them up later and see if I can get upgraded to XL BB for £0. I just looked at if I upgraded through the site as an existing customer it would cost me £37.00 but for a new customer it's only £20.00. What a bunch of morons.

get it in writing.

seriously... i have been on three "deals" now, and every time the bill comes round its wrong, i phone and complain and get told tough luck.

damn really?.better not do it to me or there will be trouble :)

yes defiantly depends on the person on the phone.

and yes new old should not matter tbh i think as said old customers should get better deals really if there loyalty is good a bit like here at OCUK :) im a good customer and I get loads of free stuff.

Hang on a mo no I don't (goes off to ring OCUK cancellation department to see what he can get)

i did not ask i said when can i leave without getting one he said to me july 6 this year then he asked why etc so did not go further than that :).

Maybe some one here who has canceled could answer would be good to know.

I was told by a VM advisor (on the phone) that if you take out or change your package you're signed up to a 12 month contract & liable to pay any excess if you cancel before that date
