AMIGA , Easy To install Packages ( including EOB AGA remake ! )

Thanks for this Neil79. Nice and easy to use, even though most of the prompts are in a foreign language.

Just had a go at Eye of the Beholder AGA remake. Worked well, but the creators default save game is a bit poor :)

Tried Xenon 2 to see if music worked for me. I'm guessing as it's a CD32 version that the music was originally spooled from the CD. And if CD quality that would explain the small file size of download as missing music tracks. The sound is working with the digitized speech at the shop screen

HeroQuest works :D

Turns out it wanted an OCS chipset rather than the AGA one...
It seems to work, although I wouldn't trust it much..

UAE file in WinUAE\configs, the game folder in WinUAE\games .

Just had a go on Speedball 2 CD32 version, and like Xenon 2 it doesn't have any music.

Not sure if I like the colour pallet used either, compared to regular Speedball 2.

There's not many games and it's down to the people who make the installers rather than the devs on whether the installer requries a key. Moonstone being one of them.

Some cracking games out there though and if this gives people there first show of an Amiga emulator well done to them!

Weren't there other amiga emulators like WinUAE in the past? I am sure I have tried using some but failed as I couldn't set the emulator correctly and gave up quickly. This is all automated and easy to run games.

I will not play this much anyway, I prefer mame, neogeo, snes, n64 and recently even dreamcast and ps2 emulation.

Yep and I believe this uses WinUAE just has some different front end?

Moonstone is an epic game. "beware the fierce ballocs of the northerns wastelands" ha ha

I could never complete it becase I got a red flashing disk failure error on the last boss. I did complete it on WinUAE a few years ago.

I havent looked but is "Napalm" available for this. Its like Amiga version of redalert but required a highly upgraded Amiga. (Amiga CD) Napalm - The Crimson Crisis

Captive II: Liberation! :D

I wonder if I can transfer my saves from my Amiga across to this? I've been play Liberations for years now - still nowhere near finishing it. :D

Finally i found the FIX for the moonstone Key issue and the other key game's

Uploaded the legal BETA key

Copy into your

C:\"\HWA\hwa\C

And

C:\"\HWA\hwa\S

Folders.

This also works for the WinUaeLoader C / S folders if you use that loader instead.

Thanks but now no game will load, even the ones that require no key, I have tried reinstalling everything twice now and still it didn't work, it only works for me if I don't use the key :(

Yep not working , works for some and not others..... I loaded up EYE 2 and it worked , but not pop

Sorry i tried :(

You can actually play Moonstone by downloading the disk images and inserting them. The only thing that WHDLoad is for is hard-drive installed games.

There were other emulators in the past (Fellow / etc) but WinUAE has been the most developed (it runs on XBox, 360, etc.) I do like MAME and other Emulators but I grew up with the Amiga and it has so many great games it would be a shame to see it consigned into the past with no way to play any of the games. I have a couple of Amigas myself (1200 towered and 2000 desktop) and use them regularly.

I'd recommend anyone who wants to play around with WinUAE to take a look at classicweb (basically an installer with pre-made tools such as directory opus, etc.) http://classicwb.abime.net requires a little bit of work to get going but it is brilliant.
