Im being asked for a WHDLoad key. Do you need it ?

Did you change the original destination folder?
I had troubles to start with, win7 seems to change the original location and muff it all up (if you change the installation dir).

It all needs to go into a file called WinUAE in c:

I have Win 7

This is what i did for the latest winuae

Download and install HWA package
http://hobring.esero.net/hwa.exe

Download and install winaue to the HWA installed directory , so it overwrites the old version of winuae , if not just copy overwrite manually
http://www.winuae.net/

Download Hard Drive Pre installed Packages from the game list
http://hobring.esero.net/games.htm

1. Use 7zip or winrar , unpack the GAME pre installed package exe. It should make two folders inside a main folder , Games and another one Configurations

2. Copy the game directory inside the Games folder for example 1164_project-x_whd into HWA\Games

3. Copy the Configuration file from Configurations into HWA\Configurations

4. Go into your HWA\Configurations folder and load the game configuration

5. Press F12 While in game to config graphical filters and or display :)

Im having to run WinUAE as administrator and then manually load the config. If I launch the config it starts to load and then I get a windows error.

Neil79, as you seem familiar with this stuff. Have you ever used KGWHDLoad files? Would be interesting to know if they would work with HWA.

Im using

Winaue Latest , installed in the HWA directory , HWA Configs / Game packs

WinUAE Loader ( Lots of kickstart files needed )
http://www.headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=winuaeloader

KGWHDLoad Game Packs for WinUAE Loader
http://kg.whdownload.com/kgwhd/

Classic WorkBench OS
http://classicwb.abime.net/

I could just upload my version , get people to unpack it and run the loader... but the Kickstarts are not easily available as they are being sold and i'd be providing pirated goods... So I can't , even though i'd love to share with you guys. :(

Well these AGA remakes have automap built in , press tab and wolla automap

Though i did the same as you years back , either printed or hand drawn :p

cool, thanks :)

i must install EOB 1 again, im dieing to complete it with the same characters all the way through!

currently playing X2 and i hand mapped mine, but ended up printing a nice one off the egosoft webby lol

Install the pack as per the instructions , don't install any other EOB but these remakes.. Press TAB , and you can see doors... where you are... secret areas and then more reveals itself as you play :)

Nah.... What you all want is a real amiga using newer hardware...

http://www.a-eon.com/ ;)

Amiga X1000, the first new Amiga for a long time... Using OS4 and a PPC platform. Oh well, wish them luck.

I still use WINUAE from time to time to remind me how great a computer it was...

i have found a game that i want to play, that isnt on that original site

it seems to have the same sort of files, it is a hard drive install, rather than floppy images... as far as i can tell.

is there a way to run it in the same thing that i downloaded from this site? the one i have doesnt appear to have a configuration file?
