What a retarded comment, I expected better from you. They are the 3rd largest party and are doing what they are required to do, nothing more, nothing less.

They are the problem their are whoring themselves to get what the party wants (PR) not whats good for UK, ie quick resolution to this farce and some economic stability to sort out this hideous mess of debt we have

Isn't it just terrible, parties being forced to compromise and work together to form a government. Simply horrendous.

Exactly I'm sick of these ****s arguing black is white with the third party saying it's grey on every single policy.

They seem to think it's their only job to argue against any idea the other party comes up with, as though thats what they are supposed to do.

I'm glad they are being forced to talk to each other because there are items I like in all 3 parties manifestos.

I'm amazed people on gere can argue day after day about this and how damaging it is for the economy when not one of the parties has even done more than hint how they will aid the recovery and what it's going to cost us.

Exactly.

Whether PR is right for the UK has been debated to death in this thread, my views are well known and I have no interest in discussing that again. I voted Lib-Dem, but that does not mean I am blind to the current situation - one must take a pragmatic view.

However, with respect, I don't think your position is fully considered, you seem to be seeking to apportion blame which is unwarranted. Ultimately, the electorate have placed us in this position, and Nick Clegg is doing nothing more than exploring all avenues before deciding which, if any party, he chooses to align himself with.

You don't know that'll be the case

Of course I know that'll be the case. The majority of this country don't have a clue and wouldnt bother to educate themselves before voting, either. It would be as much of a joke as a referendum on the EU Constitution would have been - millions of people voting on a document none of them would have bothered to read.

With respect, we'll have to agree to disagree. You have a dim and unrealistic view of your fellow man :(

Michael Grove has just confirmed there will be members of LibDems in the cabinet. Clegg and Cable as Foreign and Business Secretary respectively then.

I don't understand this 'votes thrown away comment'

Surely everyones vote counts the same, you vote for who you want to represent you in parliment not for the government.

Just cause the person you wanted didn't win in your area doesn't mean you wasted your vote, just that more people wanted someone else ?

Do you really think that the majority of people in this country have the ability to make educated, rational and well considered decisions on which way to vote on something as complex as this?

Really?

A country where Coronation Street and X Factor are the most popular television shows?

A country where The Sun and The Daily Mail are the best selling newspapers?
