*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

I cant believe they have stopped double XP on the ps3. Its not even been a week for the UK players.

I thought i would have the chance to at least prestige a few times. I was so disappointed when I shot someone last night in s&d and only got 500pts :(
 
Anyone on PSN fancy adding me? I too am getting bored of solo play (the only other people that I know that play is my gf's brother and his pals... in the states) - I simply hate it when I come against a party and get rogered.

PSN is seraphic_form - I'm not insanely good, I have spurts of greatness, usually play dom - just hit my 70.
 
I'd like to know some reasoning as to why they dont just ban/delete every person from the top of the leaderboards that has clearly hacked. There is 10s of thousands with 2 billion kills 0 deaths etc, and thats just when i got bored of hitting the down button.

There was rumour that it was getting looked into a few weeks ago. It would be nice if the scores werent screwed.

You can join us if you play 10pm onwards. We normally play mosh pit to keep it varied. PSN: DemondogUK

I rage quit not long after you did. I'm fed up of laggy games and getting owned by some noob with a scar with H/B and thermal who just turns on level 2 and puts 1 round in to me. It really is getting to me now how unlevel the playing field is in this game. Fed up of checking to see if there is an american in the game as they ALWAYS pull host and then give me a ping of the high 500's even with the lying 4 green bars. I don't care what anyone says about the green bars as they lie all they determine is if the connection is "good". A ump kills with 4 bullets with or without stopping power and that goes for a silencer too. so I empty half an extended clip in to someone's back not more than 10 feet away from me and they kill me.

Not anymore I'm gonna start lag switching and pulling host.

Try rushing lag means everything in the game when you play that way. I could hang back and get my kill streaks but I hate playing that way. I can get tripple kills with just the ump on a good even game. But sadly I don't seem to find many of them anymore. The worst thing is all these kids using thier dads internet connection to play - they pull host then thier mother,father,sister,cat or whatever decides to watch youtube videos and bang the conection goes to ****. Then the game decides to pick a new host and guess what they pull host again after droping half the lobby.

PLEASE CAN THEY BRING BACK DEDICATED SERVERS

(I't could be the fact that I only had 2,1/2hrs sleep last night but I would rather blame the game AS I AM ALWAYS RIGHT!):p

P.S. Skill can you make me a sig like your's please :)

Ive been rushing for once and your right but its been easy going. Spas spamming on demolition ive not had any lag all day. Had a couple of 6 year olds with hacked accounts offering everyone 10th prestige but thats been the worst of it.

Dedicated servers would be awesome!

Infinity ward have apparently been going to look into it for months now.Nothing will get done about it.I don't know why either.Surely all the hackers up there would make it super easy got MS to do another mass ban:confused:

As for the game - how crap is the vector?I tried it out on HC and it took quite a few bullets to kill somebody!The same game it was taking me a couple of bullets with just the M4. Worst gun in the game IMO.
 
The host system does majorly suck, how can the game not find a host with a good connection? It frequently searches for "the best host" and ends up finding a rubbish one! I hate the heartbeat sensor with a passion, it's the lamest thing on the game, can't understand why they put it in there. It's so annoying when a level 20 (not prestiged) who is clearly terrible manages to get kills by relying on the heartbeat sensor.

I've been pretty lucky recently when it comes to avoiding hackers etc. I mostly stick to mercenary tdm, doesn't generally seem to be a lot of cheating on there. Maybe it's the game modes you guys are playing? One other thing I've wondered, are the gun statistics sometimes completely wrong? The M4 is immense with stopping power pro and FMJ on, even though some of the other assault rifles are supposed to be better, and I swear the M16 isn't as good as the stats suggest. Plus even though the M1014 shotgun is meant to be better than the spas, the spas has awesome power and range, particularly with the foregrip and FMJ on.

Well i had quite a few decent games of demolition on my own. Yeah there was tons of retards but i just muted them all, had a decent connection and r*ped them so hard with an M16. Got like 4 preds, 4 harriers, 3 choppers ended on 70-15 or something in one game.

Which name you want on it? XD
 
I cant understand why HBS are even a problem. Almost all my classes have Ninja on - that and having silent footsteps from PRO make it the most useful perk in the game IMO and something I unlock ASAP! What else do people use? Commando? Sitrep?
 
I almost always use ninja but when sniping i use steady aim and noob tubing i use sitrep but thats more to try get sitrep pro for a laugh. Definatly noticed how much i get caught by HBS when i dont have ninja on.
 
I'm trying to push away from Ninja as there are pleanty of decent other perks and I don't mean Commando, Sitrep PRO is the one I want on the next prestiege

Had a very strange few games today, I was playing TDM for a few matches, and then joined a DOM game, it was the Terminal map, and as soon as I joined, the countdown thats normally on the nuke was counting down at like 19 odd hours, and the scores were remaining the same (14-7 to us).

Everyone just kept killing everyone over and over again, one guy was near impossible to kill, like literally emptying a full clip on him before he'd die, and was killing me and everyone else within a few seconds of him showing himself - no matter what the distance :S

Anyone had anything like that before? I was literally in the game for a good 25 minutes trying to figure out wth was going on.
 
There are some where every time you get killed you lose a few million xp. Bad times.
