Harman is only acting leader until the leadership election in a few months, after which it will likely be Mandelson's pawn, David Miliband.

This...id find it hard to believe if Labour decided that old bat Harman should be the leader of Labour...surely they must know that she will completely and utterly destroy Labour as a whole...much like Major when he was leader of the Conservatives.

If they leave Harman as leader I would expect Cons to call a quick election. Landslide guaranteed

David Miliband is the only logical replacement regardless of what Lord Darkside is planning.

I agree David Miliband is probably the best leader for them. He went up in my opinion dramatically after the final leaders debate when he destroyed Paddy Ashdown in an argument over Trident. His knowledge of the subject matter and willingness to reference fact after fact about Trident in a truthful and assertive manner was truly excellent. It wasn't spin either, it was honest facts and that was refreshing to hear from a Labour politician.

Of course, if he becomes Labour leader he will be spinning Mandelson's poison with great abandon.

When he gets to downing street?

My point is that there is no point in having huge amounts of police when someone can shoot him with an M82 from 2km away.

Not impossible but also not likely. There are not many people around who can one shot a man sized target from 2km away for a start.

Are you planning something Energize ?

It can only be David Miliband, Ed doesn't have the experience nor does he command the respect.

Depends, if it went on talent alone it would be Alan Johnson, but he's a northerner and never went to Oxford so he has little chance.

Didn't David Milliband get into Oxford despite getting really poor A-Levels? I'm talking D's and E's here. How did he manage that?
