Funnily enough, people taking home over £100k a year aren't intended to be the main beneficiaries of this policy As you said, £70 isn't a significant sum to you, it probably is to someone on minimum wage.

I expect this to be paid for by income tax rises in higher tax bands, I'll probably pay more income tax but I think it's fair to reduce tax for those on the very lowest incomes, so fair play.

Yes, it'll be a hard time but I have no doubt whatsoever that we are going to emerge out the other end as a much stronger nation with a stable economy which will allow us to go from strength to strength and return our country into the great thing it once was.
