Obvioulsy you don't believe anything so thats fine. I just cannot explain how he came out with factual information when i didn't utter a word!

Other things he said were that i was looking at my uncles war medals a few days before, which was true, that his name was Thomas, true and that his left index finger had half of it missing, true!! How the nodding did he know that? Tell me, i want to know!!

No way i can explain everything he told me.

As stated, i didn't say anything to the guy, he didn't know me from adam.

I don't know how it works or how he got the facts right? It is mind boggling to me but obviously, being as you are an expert on these matters you must know how he got all these things from me? Please explain. Thanks
 
The thing is as nobody was there at the time nobody can "explain" it to you.
If you've ever watched Derren Brown he tells people the name of their pet, the place they went on holiday and all without anything being said.

But the bottom line is a lot more simple.
It is not possible to talk to the dead.
So anyone claiming to do so is obviously a fraud.

It is a kin to me telling you I can give Father Christmas your list - I can't because he doesn't exist.

There are a million and one ways he could have researched you before you saw him. When you booked your appointment did you give your name and call from your landline? This would have given him access to a potentially huge amount of information.

He may have spoken to your mates or missus first as they wanted you to believe the guy and feel comforted by his 'reading'.

One of the ways he got these things from you is NOT that he's a psychic. Sorry.
 
I know, but it would be intersting to know how the guy knew all the stuff about me / family? How did he do it?

I have the tape recording and i don't say anying except, hello and then thank you at the end!!
 
didn't derren brown tell the girl the kind of cats she likes...now if derren was a psychic I imagine thats the kind of thing you would think "omg how could he possibly know that"

Put it this way, I find it entirely more plausible that a person could read the mind of another living person somehow than talk with a dead person. One involves somehow seeing into something which is alive and present, the other is supposedly talking to a dead thing. I know which one of those two seems more possible to me.

I stated in my thread above that i didn't book anything!! It was an open day event. You just turned up and payed £10 at the door. No names given etc!! Shall i type that again for you? :D

He couldn't have spoken to my mates etc as i went alone!!

Come on Mr Expert, any other way he could have done it then?

I am very open to some good ideas.

I am as baffled as everyone else.

I literally couldn't be ****ed to read back over all your piffle again. Suffice to say, if you are baffled, then you are a simpleton I'm afraid.

Because of the emotional position you were placed in by your family tragedy, your mind has become more predisposed to believe this kind of bunkum. You are inevitably trying to make it sound more amazing than it actually was by omitting key facts about the scenario. Maybe your mate or Mrs phoned the clown, told him you were coming, and fed him a load of information.

Like I say, there are a million and one ways that he could have achieved this, if you want me to type out every possible scenario I will be here all year. Not once will I type 'The dude is clearly psychic'.

The 'Tragedy' happened over 24 years ago so it wasn't at the front of my mind!!

How can my misses phone him when i don't have one? You really are clutching at straws now bud.

Come on, i want you to give me some facts about how this guy done it, you seem so confident that you know he was a fake etc. I am waiting!!

I am not here to say the guy was what he was claiming to be, i am just curious as to how he got the info!!

You seem to be missing the point. Nobody can tell you exactly how he got the information other than it definetley was not the dead speaking to him.

There are ways and means, going back to the op, the program with Derren goes over a number of them and I am sure there are many more. One way however is not that he saw the image of a dead realative speaking to him.

However i do believe you may be embellishing the story slightly. I do not believe you just turned up to this event on your own, did not say a word, walked up to this guy and he suddenly spouted out all these facts about you. He knew just from your eye contact and 'hello' that you wanted a reading etc?
 
It was not just mediums that were there. It was an open day about all things like that. Mediums, card readers, crystal stone readers, healers etc etc etc.

I just decided to try one of the mediums in the hall.

It was staged in my town centre in a local pub / hotel. I only noticed it was happening when i saw the notice as i walked past!! I always fancied having a nose at what ticks at these things.

He knew i wanted a reading as i asked him when i saw him sitting by his table!!

Anyway, i really didn't say anything to the guy. I just said hello at the start and i didn't even nod my head as it was all being taped anyway!

I still cant fathom how he knew so much!!

Maybe he was related to spock? lol

Depends on the situation i.e. where it was etc, but from what you've said I'd say that while you may well not have known him at all he did know who you were, maybe knew your grandad so knew the fate of your twin brother or similar?
 
Totally missed this on the television so just watched it now on 4oD and it was a great show! Glad he got shown up as a fraud, can't believe some people in this thread believe this people are real!
