Intel x25-V vs Velociraptor?

Hey, can anyone advise me how the Intel X25 Value SSD would compare with the 300GB Velociraptor?

Unless you are doing video editing, or similar heavy sequential writing ops the X25-M will feel significantly faster. Plus it's silent and should be more reliable - I've got one in my fanless HTPC.

It'll still feel significantly faster. The intel SSD has substantially lower access times, and sbustantially higher read throughput.

the x25-v is faster at most things than the velicoraptor, especially booting up windows.

i have both x25-v and the 300gb velicoraptor

i know its not the value ssd or even the newer model 80gb g2
