freecaster is working well for me
Good quality stream with no lag.

Rachel has just won the girls race by about 10 seconds. Great comeback.
Hopefully Gee can match it in the mens race.

Hi guys,

Cycling noob here! Just bought a second hand 2009 Trek FX 7.1 to start commuting on and to switch up my cardio routine.

Any opinions on this bike?

Good race.
Dissapointed that Gee didnt win - he was awesome through the rocks at the top.
Second isnt a bad result tho.
Hopefully we'll see a home win at Fort William.
Good to see 8 of the top 20 are brits.

Ordering the pedals tomorrow. Fancy some nice Blue or White grips to go with them. Any suggestions? Just after some XC, Trail level ones.

the superstar lockons are doing alright for me at the moment and at only £8 they're a bargain :)

I'v only done the black once. From what i remember it's very difficult with lots of technical stuff. Not a lot of places where you can get your speed up. Also wasnt very well signed, i got a bit lost and think i missed out a section of it.
It's good fun but hard work.

it looked a bit too much for the old hardtail :(

I entered my second race of the year. Gorrick Firth hill 5th Round.
Note to self, dont play with the Suspension the night before, they were sagging alittle but would have been perfect. Stupid me let air out of the Revelations neg - air and now got the full 140mm Travel.

Not good for an XC race.... :) but still got top 10! :) me = chuffed beat a lot of skinny XC whippets.

Had a good few hours out today, nice and dry/sunny so great day for it until the cable for my shifter pulled through leaving me stuck in highest gear, finally found someone with a multi-tool and got it sorted though without having to come home :D

need some advice guys
after seeing what happened to my m8s leg yesterday where the chainring sliced open his leg I've decided to look at making my own crankset a bit safer.
i had always thought about going to a 2 ring setup so looking at my options
currently ive just put on a truvativ 5 D crankset 42/32/22
do you guys think i should increase the middle ring to 36 and then add something like a truvativ rock guard?
what other options are available?

Some suprising results there but pretty good.. Big congrats to Manon Carpenter on 14th in Womens and 1st in Juniors in her first world cup :D

You could get a double ring chain guide. It's something I'm considering to stop my big ring grinding on steep rocky descents.

hey guys, after a quick bit of help. Theres something not right with the quick release on my saddle post. the seat never stays at the right height for more than 5 minutes when i hit the rough stuff. Keeps slowly dropping. Anything i can do to remedy this?
Cheers

Make sure there is no grease on the post and that it is dry. Put some chalk on the post to stop it slipping. If that fails...new QR clamp, if that fails...new post, if that fails...

Yeah just stick a bashguard on, thats the main reason I've got a Rock Guard on mine. I've not got round to increasing the size of my middle ring yet, only once have I found myself trying to shift into a gear I didn't have. Might do it now trails are drying out and getting faster though..
