Any Car Body Experts Here ???

did the overtaker stop? or just keep going?

even if it was only body panel damage & frame damage, it would cost a lot to repair

Is this what happend? :p

Realy should have gone left tho :(

He must have been very close to hitting you if you went that way too.

Looks like you just pooped yourself when you had no need?

How is another vehicle on the road not traffic?

It'll only never be the same if it's fixed badly. To you it'll never seem the same as you'll know it's been in a crash etc.

finding somebody to a perfect job can be very difficult frequently its not perfect but the insurance co thinks it will do leaving you to argue forever about getting it done properly

Well I've been in crash repaired cars and driven one, after I crashed it and it was repaired...it drove better after the crash. :D :p

Personally, I think there is very little in the way of actual chassis damage.

Sure, new wheel, bonnet, wing, bumper, suspension, slam panel, cross member, possibly radiator, other ancillaries. You're well in to the coupld of £k mark alreadyl.

Really? If the subframe was pushed back on that side it'll have uneven caster, and that you will notice, steers easier one way than the other. Our Punto is like this, in that it just adds to the fun, but I'd rather not my own car do it.

Just had a small car crash , the car is a bmw compact 2004. Looking at this pic what would I be looking at to get this fixed , im fully insured yet am curious to the damage done in pounds :)

thanks

Its repairable but the value of the car is going to be the problem. I think it safe to say its a write off, a 2004 BMW is not a high enough value car to have that amount of damage repaired.

How did the pole cause all that damage ? Did you hit a curb and then the pole ?

Quite easy to mount the island and miss the box.

They do go down, but a car impacting it at the sort of speed the OP is suggesting and the angle it'd be hit from (very low down), it'd be broken off the base or squished down and stayed mostly down rather than squished flat and pop up again.
