Was looking for some part time work today and handed my CV into the local fish and chip shop as they are looking for an Assistant Fryer. So off I went, and later this evening recieved a phone call asking me to go in on Friday at 8pm for an 'interview'.
What puzzles me, is what kind of questions am I possibly going to be asked to be judged on whether or not I am suitable to work as a fryer in a fish shop?
I mean, it would be different if I was applying to be say... a trainee mechanic as I could be asked a whole array of questions from 'Why did you choose mechanics?' to 'What can you bring to our company/organization?' however, a small fish shop - it just seems a bit.. different.
I wonder how likely it is that the reason they asked me to go in so late on a Friday is because they want me to start pretty soon (I would have thought that a friday night would be quite busy?) and wanted to show me the ropes?
I know it's not the best job in the world for a 17 year old - but a pound is a pound no matter where you get it from
