if you can get even £60-£80 if lucky why not a ATI 4890.
From memory a 9800GTX+ is just a rebadged 8800GTS 512mb.
I went from a 8800GT > 8800GTS > gtx 260 216SP and each upgrade was a noticable difference especially the last one.
Make sure you get a 216SP gtx 260 version.
So for £50 I'd say it was worth it.
ALso gtx 260's tend to only make £90 nowadays so it should only be £40 to swap.
i had a 4850 but chaged it for the 9800gtx,as i prefer nvidia,i think nvidia as better image quality,
@ harryohh nvidia his is personal choice, dont bring fanboy insults into it.
try and sell the 9800gtx+ as much as you can and find a cheapish second hand gtx260 (216sp). it will be a little improment for little cash.
thinking of upgrading my 9800gtx+ to something like a gtx260,will it be worth my while, ill sell the 9800gtx for say £50 and should pick a 260 up for arround an £100,
Yea...but for £100, wouldn't he be better off with a 4890 instead of GTX260?It would be £50 if he can sell his for £50.
The GTX260 216 offers quite a bit over the 9800GTX+.
Yea...but for £100, wouldn't he be better off with a 4890 instead of GTX260?![]()
