Travellers to be searched for pr0n.

I give it 6 months before we see the first person arrested and cavity searched for storing a pendrive of pr0n where the sun doesn't shine. :)

And know I am not due to travel in 6 months time ;)

I am! Do you think ill receive some advertisement money if I use an OCuk pendrive?

The weird thing about Australia and sex censorship is that they have a far more liberal to attitude to sex than we do.

Walk down the street in Melbourne and Sydney and you'll pass numerous sex shops, they are not even discreet, they have big flashing neon signs, etc etc. There are also all sorts of dodgy adverts in very public places.

And yet they then take a bizarre attitude to other things

Any idea when this is apparently coming into place? My girlfriend is off to Aus tomorrow. With her laptop. With private stuff on it. :o

I think you best post them up here so ocuk can judge whether there will be an issue with Australia customs, just to be on the safe side. ;)

Fox: Seriously I think you've got that the wrong way around - something like The Sun would never be tolerated in Australia. We (Australians) are way more reserved than the UK (well, London) in my experience.

Australia is rapidly becoming the new North Korea. I feel sorry for the people that live there. Long live encryption, protector of innocents.

Wait what, is porn illegal in australia?
I don't understand what warrant the search to look for porn, when they do then what?

I was amazed at how blatant the sex shops were!

I'm not sure how it works in Oz, but what if you encrypt the data?

I'm sure I read that in the US they can't ask you to decrypt such files.

Inkerman St in St Kilda, Mlebourne. Couldn't walk down the street without being hounded by dog ugly whores !! What was more annoying was my mates lived at one end of the street and my hostel was right down the other end. Walking (nay running home) at 3am was always a bit dodgy.

Sex is everywhere in Melbs/Sydney. This pr0n ruling is ridiculous.

If you encrypt the data in a hidden partition they can't even detect the encrypted data so customs are totally screwed.

And just how are they going to find this porn unless its in a folder on the desktop named : PORN . I could hide anything in 1 of the thousands of folders anywhere and i bet they will never find them. Complete waste of time i think.
