Starting a thread with a title like that is a bit over the top. Full cover GPU blocks will cause any card to bend slightly when installed not just EK ones.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
Gees the guy has identified a problem and a couple of people jump on him for bringing it to people's attention. Support is probably the way to go for now and then buy the backplate once they are available but yes your main point of this problem not being seen before selling the blocks does warrant a concern.
I'd be surprised if the 480 block is any heavier than their other blocks.
not sure tbh
VoG is right though, no water block supports the card that well as they don't attach to the black plate like the stock HSF. That give the whole assembly more rigidity.
There aren't that many benefits to having a HTPC case, but having the GPUs upright when water cooling is definitely one of them.![]()
A peg is some NASA style **** compared to cutting edge masking tape!

(Hardly ideal, but better than nothing.)
Will the blocks on the pre-watercooled EVGA cards have the same issue?
