New summer toy

looks lovely, perfect summer toy. but does need the detango, dates it.

apologise for the superb text input via swype on my 1ghz snap dragon HD2.

very nice, I'm always a bit wary when people are looking at Porsches at this budget because I wouldnt. But you've found a very good well looked after example. I like! Can you detango that mofo?

posted from a PC! (HAH its more powerful than your petty phones I tell thee!!!)

Not liking the exhuast.

Sorry for the grammar btw, posted from my HTC desire with 1ghz cpu.

Ih he wants to keep the system then maybe just swap the tail pipes

I'm sure they are as openly stupid about people call vacuums 'hoovers' or dyson vacuums 'dysons'.

It's not quite like that though, I might "hoover" my flat with my electrolux vacuum, but who says "John just iPhoned me"?

Anyway, the car looks really nice, not sure why you're finding time to be posting here on a weekend like this though :D

The pictures are actually surprisingly good, better than some people can manager from an SLR! A friend won a photography competition with an iPhone picture, true fact - so they dont have to give crap pictures :)

Yeah, a clear light kit is about £700 for fronts, rears and sides. I'll probably get it done, but it's not a priority as I can't see them from the inside :p

I dont get the iPhone hate - I post almost entirely from my phone these days and never put anything normally. I only mentioned it because the pics are a bit poor and over exposed - I'd usually make more of an effort with my DSLR. If someone posted a similar thread with 'excuse the pics as they were taken on my HTC' I wouldn't give it a second though. I guess some people are sensitive :/

Make head light cake?

Easiest way to split the unit, pop in the oven at 50 degrees for 5 mins, softens up the sealant and allows them to be split with no risk of damage.

OP, nice boxster - got them on my current list of changes. Just need to persuade the missus that I don't need a 4 seater.

Exactly, head light cake

The Boxster itself came out in 1996. It was facelifted, as you'd expect, but this example is a prefacelift model. This is why it has orange lights. Because when it was introduced, everything had orange indicator lights.

1996 eh, damn I really didnt realise, not really well up on Porsche as you can tell

Seems orange is coming back though, new Mondeos and Accords have them too

OP could either bake them open, or in his case maybe he could just get facelift lights, or maybe he just doesnt care, i'll end the orange lights discussion there :D
