My bedroom gets insanely hot! What can I do?

The best money I ever spent on ANYTHING with a plug was to buy A/C for my house. Had it for 15 years and means I have a lovely cool bedroom no matter what the world outside is doing.

If you are in to water cooling the pc then treat the heat in your room in the same way ;)

exactly what i was thinking. surely he knows that to cool something you need good airflow. opening just one window is not good airflow ! opening the door to let air pass through usually helps. or fan

I'll be watercooling my head tonight.

In jest? I think not. Think about the opposite of a hot water bottle and you will be on the right track. :)

Windows and door open, fan, wear as little as possible, have cold drinks and a cold shower before you go to bed. Turn the PC off and get out a bit. Better still get a larger bedroom.

We have these wrist wrap yokes that you stick in the fridge then strap onto your arm. Due to the fact that there's such a good blood supply close to the surface at your wrist anything cold there will cool your entire body (or so I'm told) they seem to work well enough until they heat up.

How hot is your room tho? i live in attic and its 35 degree and its 21:55 :/

Ouch! Thats hot, i dont know how you can sleep in that sort of heat all night.

Not sure how hot my room is as I have no thermometer but its very warm. Window is wide open and there is no air movement at all. I'd buy a fan but we only get a few days like this a year so it hardly seems worth the cost.

I suffered from the same issue.

I stoped using my ceiling lights as they made a huge ammount of heat. I use my laptop instead of my gaming rig and the server has a tumble dryer tube attached to the back of it and thats running out of the window. I also bought a big ass fan which has helped a lot..

Ummm, take a look out of the window - the sun went in a couple of hours ago. :D

I mean generally!

A PC chucking out heat all day plus the sun will heat the room up and depending on the insulation, it will retain that heat for a while. If you turn everything off, maybe even draw the curtains and go out and enjoy the superb weather then the room will be bearable to sleep in by the time you come back when the sun goes down :)

Thanks for reminding me OP.;)

Just opened the velux window in the attic and set my fan up. :p

I guess you probably have the same issue as me, south/west facing room so last to get the warmth on winter mornings and last to cool down in the evenings with the sun directly in front of the window. :(
