I don't see the point he won't use half the power of the PC, it will be worth 1/10th as much in 6 months time and be outperformed by mid-range hardware in considerably less than 2 years.

Theres absolutely no point buying the biggest and best hardware any more, either buy something that matches your needs or the stuff that one step below as you generally pay closer to half the price and won't notice the performance difference.

You've specced a system that would use upwards of 1500w (probably closer to 2,000 with all those fans and HDDs), on a 1000w PSU.

Apart from that, 4 of the fastest single GPUs running on a single 23" screen? It's pointless, rendering or not.

Should you go ahead with this build you will need a much bigger psu than 1000w more like 1.8kw or two 1000w which i think MM normally support.

You really should consider SSD's rather than the VelociRaptor or if you can stretch to it get both i think it would be really good for your current projects bit when editing vids etc
