Just need to get home to place the order as the crappy work network is blocking the visa verification thing at the moment. Good to know they just put those out there as i was crapping myself when i saw only 1 left of the standard stepping variety.
 
Meh i give up. Been trying to buy a new system all day and its been coming up with the error message "Sorry, but the payment process has failed. Response: (100) Timeout reading from socket " after the visa verify part. Thought it was a problem from my end but i've tried several computers now and been on the phone with barclays fraud department as they accept the transaction and it still comes up with the error....

The answer to the webnote was no help and just said to call the the sales department or the webmaster but now they are obviously closed. Just my luck :mad:
 
Is the Intel® Core™ i7 920 worth the premium over the Intel® Core™ i5 750? :confused:

The Core™ i5 seems to be faster for normal gamers? . . . are people buying the older Core™ i7 920 doing Video work or something? :D

not really, the 930 is still at its normal price, whereas the 920 is reduced quite abit. The usually price for them was about £200.

there was originally only a £15-20 difference between the 2, and really they aren't worth more extra than that.

930's are essentially the newer version of the 920, same ship, just with an increased multiplier.

at the current price the 920's are very good value

Sorry mate, missed this post the 1st time around.

Its going for games and Photoshop.

I had a pre build made and shipped to me, company will remain nameless, but it was sent to me not in working order and it cost me £100 to ship it back. i was not best pleased as it was my 1st even, not built by me, system.

So, this time, buying the bits i like and decent stuff, will get it from OCuK and see how it goes :)

Got a few mates where i am who use them, so with luck, it will be great!

ColiN - ordered it tonight, asked for it to be sent to me for thursday next week :) Fantastic!
