LOST..... How do you think it will end

]But, from a more "behind the scenes" note: the reason Ben's not in the church, and the reason no one is in the church but for Season 1 people is because they wrote the ending to the show after writing the pilot.

Penny and Libby were in season 1?

It's a smoke monster, they never really explain what it is other than the fact that it's a monster made from smoke. As to why it exists Jacob clouted his brother across the head for killing his 'mother' and tossed him into the like, contact with the light bound his soul to the smoke monster.

The thing is, Jacob pushed the MiB down into the light cave and he would have fallen down the waterfall/cliff, but he wouldn't have gone directly into the light itself, he would have just landed at the bottom and probably died, which is how I assume all of those other skeletons scattered around got there, people trying to get down the waterfall/cliff and falling or being pushed down there.

So either that means the Smoke Monster was around before the MiB and he somehow travelled into the 'Light cave' when MiB was pushed down there and took over his body/appearance, or it's another giant plothole.

I was under the impression that the smoke monster can't go into the cave. This was the whole reason why he needed Desmond to go in there for him, to uncork the hole.

If smoke monster could go into the cave, he could easily rip that cork out of its hole.

From what i remember of his body drifting to the light, the water hadn't yet worn away the rock to create the shaft the Desmond went down. If you watch it, MiB seems to "slip" under the rack face he hits and is dragged under by the water.

The characters all died as they died on the island. The "flash side ways" universe is timeless. They all created the world in their deaths to help each other as they were all flawed individuals who were made better people by coming together on the island. As Christian said to Jack some died before you (Libby, Charlie, Sayid etc) and others after you (Hurley, Ben and Kate). This is why Kate said she missed Jack for a long time.. presumably she escaped and lived a happy life and why Hurley said Ben made a good number two even though on the island Ben had only just become number 2.

When they "Let go" of their flaws by coming together they could move on to the afterlife/heaven. Thats the reasons Anna Lucia, Eko and Ben, Daniel and Charlotte wern't in the main room as they wern't ready to let go (in Daniels case his mother was keeping him there as she couldn't let go of her guilt for her part in her sons death).

AMAZING... Thank you, i now totally get it!

That explanation should be stickied lol.

Looking forward to the extra scenes with Hurley and Ben. I really think Michael Emerson was a terrific actor and had such an interesting character to play with. Ben was just fun to watch.

I wanted Ben to die an extremely horrible death. No redemption/sin absolving type death either, a proper "ya deserved that you ****" style arse kicking. There is a reason we never got to see his memory flash in the alt, it would have been nothing but murdering people. Michael Emerson may have played him very well, but the Ben character was an absolutly irredemable ****. No way should have have been forgiven by Locke on a whim.

Just watched the finale and thought it was awful. They didn't answer a lot of the questions they gave us throughout the story and the ones that were answered felt like they had been put together with little or no thought. A massive disappointment just like the majority of Lost.

We did see flashes from Ben, when he was getting beat by Desmond, of him getting...beat by Desmond.

I don't think he was a 'complete' arse. Yes he was rather ruthless in his commitment in protecting the island but he was also very wounded and understandably had allot of anger from having a terrible father and not getting any answers from jacob after a lifes dedicated work. The island was everything to him, at least that's the impression i got.

I ready a pretty interesting post that essentially said that people took away what they wanted to from LOST based upon who they are, so those people now saying "but wtfm8 wheres ma ans0rs!!?" are essentially Ben sitting on the bench who haven't really understood the point yet to move on -- but when you've got it and realized the point feel free to join us in the church of happy awesomeness :P

1.) Elitist much? Get off your high horse, plenty of people who didn't like the ending understood what happened.
2.) That's not why Ben was sitting outside, way to fail.

Oh so he thought it was *Jacob* telling him to murder people. That's alright then.

His first major set of murders were the Dharma initiative with the gas attack. Those instructions seemed to come from Richard and therefore logically Jacob as Richard was well aware who MiB was.
