ATI Catalyst™ 10.5a Hotfix

They are standalone as far as I'm aware, so can be uninstalled from scratch or over previous drivers.

My BC2 load times were shortened with the 10.4 drivers; will these shorten it even more?

I've noticed no change in the load times...maybe I need to install the driver from scratch i.e. uninstall existing driver and then install the hotfix?

Somebody didn't read the notes. :D

Make sure your version of Windows is up to date service pack wise then Uninstall the old Completely then instal the 10.5a Hotfix. :)

woohoo, uninstalled 10.5's installed these, Grey Screen of death during install, rebooted reinstalled now ccc doesnt work, way to go :)

Had to use Driver Sweeper to clear out the old drivers before they fixed the BC2 bug. Just installing 10.5/10.5a over any 10.4 didn't make a difference until then.

You could have used the ATI uninstall & then installed 10.5a.

10.3 - 10.4 no difference in BFBC2 loading times

10.4-10.5 no difference

10.5-10.5a HUGE HUGE difference - in fact I can't believe how much quicker it is

I didn't uninstall drivers between each new one

Why do people still unistall old drivers or use driver sweeper . You just download new driver click install and it dose it all for you simples . Im sure half if not nearly all the problems people have are because they unistall old drivers or use driver sweeper.

Was that with a 5xxx series card?

I generally just install over, however on the 10.5a hotfix link it does recommend uninstalling the ati drivers first?

Why in the hell would you uninstall 10.5 and install 10.5a on a 5XXX series card? They don't do anything different, it is a fix for 4XXX and below series cards as they left the BFBC2 loading time fix out of the official 10.5 release.
