Favourite pizza takeaway?

I hadn't had domino's for ages but gambled with one yesterday as it was 2-4-1 Tuesdays. Must say I was quite unimpressed, so expensive for a relatively small and not great tasting pizza.

All about Simpson's pizza in Leeds, just ridiculously cheap, £5.50 for a 16" iirc.

I like the main three equally, usualy go through stages of getting each one. Pizza hut is much better value though, they do some decent deals, where as dominos and papa johns are more money and have less deals available.

Taw hill is closed quite early but I can ring up old town or west swindon and they'll deliver on the taw hill patch.

Damn, the good one won't even deliver when the bad 'un is shut, there is a 3rd dominos in my area though.. I'll try them too.

I've had Domino's Pizzas and they are nice but they have massive amounts of grease and salt in them. I suspect they add loads of salt in to encourage you to buy drinks too.

Firezza is a chain in London which are good wood baked pizzas, not too greasy, good ammount of choice of toppings\different cheeses, and there's also one in Brixton which is really good, it's in a little markety thing just off the main road, they shut early though which sucks.

But I <3 pizza, so anything will do, my mum works for the head office of pizza gogo, so I get free pizza from any shop that I want to I just call her up and get her to place the order... she's had a fair few calls at 1-2am on a Friday\Saturday night from me demanding pizza to be sent to my mates house when we're drunk

If you ever pass through, try it. Or don't, because it will forever ruin every other pizza you ever have for you.

I'm frankly amazed that you've been to this place, unless you're a Kingswinfordian like me. It is, truly, hands down, THE best pizza in the world.

I was in america in december and there was a massive ad campaign for dominoes. They had some customers doing a vox pops survey saying what they liked about the pizzas, almost all of the customers slated the pizzas and said they were horrid rubbish that they would never eat, this was shown to the chefs and managers and they put a lot of effort into agreeing with them. They then went on to say that they have changed all the recipies to make the food nicer and that its what the people want.

good story huh.

so...why in the UK do we still have the old rubbish recipies?

We’ve given up with takeaway pizza because the last two to turn up from Pizza Hut were almost swimming in fat. The one from a local takeaway was revolting so no more.

It's not as if you would eat a pizza to lose weight. It is fast food, it should be dripping in fat!
