Anyone flying any England flags on your car?

if for whatever reason i visit Scotland, wales, ni or cornwall while england are still in ill buy some, for a laugh.

True though.

Some people seem to regress into some kind of instinctive behaviour. One chap up the road was telling me how he always has an England flag flying out oh his bedroom window on days when England are playing.

I asked him why and he blankly stared back for a few seconds before saying "because England are playing".

That might be the case, but to say everyone that does it is thick as ****, is a load of ******.

EVERY car with a flag has a baseball cap and football shirt wearing rock ape in it who thinks being patriotic is simply hating everything and everyone foreign. People are thick as **** in the main, tis sadly a fact.

I don't generally use the car because I ride a bike to and from work, but my misses has two England flags for our Focus, this is because we have 2 kids who are 9 & 13 and they wanted them.... she doesn't have a football shirt, baseball cap, or a hateful bone in her body, in fact, she doesn't like football, but she will follow and support England when they play.

Personally I don't see any problem in showing support, or patriotism, for our country when they are playing in a major tournament, albeit, football, rugby, cricket, etc, and if it upsets you then all the better :)

Well said.

It bothers me that people in this country are only patriotic when a silly game of football is involved...

Anyway, I'm Scottish and can't stand football, so no...

Why the hell you think I'm not patriotic or might be upset by people with flags in their windows is somewhat odd, they are a non event to me in reality. We live in a free country so within the laws you are free to do as you please. The fact I emphasised the EVERY, an obviously ludicrous assumption playing to a few stereotypes I sense touched a nerve with you and others. I chose to show my patriotic nature in different ways I don't need to wait for a game of football but if you want to show a flag feel free. I have been known to wear a Lions top in the past and several of my friends have put flags in their cars for their kids and me nor them are 'fugs'. Reality is that football attracts people who come out of the woodwork each world cup or European cup feeling the need to tell everyone how patriotic they are which is sad.

I'd like to think, perhaps assume even, that if you live in this country you are patriotic about it and don't need a flag to show it but I guess some people need to 'prove' it to everyone and I'm fine with that, less so with the rock apes who see it as a badge of honour and have a twisted view of honour and support when they boo a competing teams national anthem or feel racial slurs make them more so. I'm pretty confident you kids an wife don't display this of course...but many do.

The flags are handy for announcing to the general public they are a simpleton, so you can keep clear.

Again, this. Only two blokes at work is waving flags and it is no incident that one is missing an entire brain, while the other's IQ is borders on the negative.

I saw 4 flags one for each window today, as well as an ariel flag and rear window sticker. Looked stupid and incredibly chavy. Guess what car it was on?

Hmm Fox was good with the Vectra earlier but they also apply to run down MPVs and builders vans too.

And you of course being a scholar of the english language are not, i see that now.

Well i'l add an anal bit in now, in my road where the minimum price of a house is about 1.5 mil there are about a dozen flags flying, at least all us idiots are grouping in one place.
