Anyone flying any England flags on your car?

Guess what car it was on?
A Vauxhall Chavalier?

And you of course being a scholar of the english language are not, i see that now.

Well i'l add an anal bit in now, in my road where the minimum price of a house is about 1.5 mil there are about a dozen flags flying, at least all us idiots are grouping in one place.

They'll be listed as the simpletons who have come out of the woodwork for a major football tournament then :p

Nothing wrong with patriotism but England flags on cars are always found on white vans and old Vectras.

its not that

Its not patriotism

People only start flying flags when england play. Its just supporting a football club.

If people were patriotic, they would have the flags outside their pubs, on their cars etc.. all year round.

Thats why its chavvy, because its just supporting a football team, and all the football violence etc.. that goes with it.

Nope, it's a clear sign you're a *****.
Poundshop flags, come on, tacky much?

I like a game of football, do watch it and quite often have a casual game if it's going. But i'm more of a rugby man at heart.

And supporting England is chavy how exactly?

Violence?, oh grow up and get out more.

Football is too hooligan based nowadays.

My dad was telling me about some german blokes he met in hungary, all burberryed up, england shirts, one had an england tattoo. He told the bloke he liked his tattoo, the bloke just replied "It is because I love english hooligans"
I think that kind of sums up the way england is seen in football.

If you really supported england you wouldn't have tacky pieces of crap you bought from some budget supermarket. You'd have a decent flag flying all the year round.

I have a flag flying all year round ,
and have been an England / Millwall suporter for 30 years as have many of my mates.

We have never been involved in football violence, for every one idiot there are a thousand normal people, so stop with the rubbish generalisations.

No I haven't, I don't care much for football, I don't know much about it really ...I would like England to win though of course but I don't need to plaster my car in St. George's crosses to show it. Saint George wasn't even English, he was born in an area which is now within modern Turkey, I don't actually believe that Saint George should be our 'patron saint' at all, nor do I think we should use his symbol as our national flag.

The percentage of fans actually involved in violence is miniscule given the number of people who actually go and watch it. Just because someones dad met a couple of fellas once doesnt really count for crap.
The people involved in the violence use football as an excuse, if they werent at a football match theyd be outside any given city centre club knocking the ****e out of each other anyway.

I think the flags are chavvy, you rarely see them on decent cars who look like they arent being driven by someone slightly scummy. Theyre far more common in bad areas, its not our fault (those of us that consider the flags to be chav) when weve seen so many chavs with flags on their cars that eventually we see a connection between the two.

ah well that explains everything then.

And proud of it, Come on Millwall, no one like us come on Millwall.... :)

Season ticket holder since 1999, ask your wife, see if she will let you go one day, you would enjoy it.

No but my father in law wanted to do this last World Cup. The mother-in-law didn't like the idea.

This year the MIL was visiting us for a week, so I bought a pack of 2 flags and posted them to him, so they would arrive at the start of her visit. He is now flying them but I suspect will get told to remove them when she gets back.

Call it an, erm, early fathers day present.

Although I choose not too, some people are making very broad generalisations here.

Plenty of people throughout the year put scarves in their windows on match days to represent their club of choice. World cup lasts only lasts for a month every 4 years, doing the same for the country is not really something to be something so negative about. Doesn't bother me in the slightest really.
