*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Currently using about 1.5GB of data a month (watch tvcatchup at work) so it looks like I had better stay with the unlimited data contract that I'm on, still want the new iPhone though so I may try and buy just the handset and sell my 3GS.
tvcatchup uses WI-Fi so has nothing to do with your data usage:)

what do u do for a living? cant be bad :)

its all good and fine with orange and tmobile but they dont include BT openzone or 'cloud' hot spots. do you think youll miss out on that? i cant make my mind up at the moment

All of this talk of inclusive usage is of no use to me. The big thing that has ****ed me off, that most people wont even use, is the inclusive usage of the 1 text abroad = 4 text home scenario.

This has now stopped full stop. My money is taken from international calls and forgetting to turn my voicemail off. Someone leaves a message, i have to pay for it, if i retrieve it i pay again.

This seriously dents my bill and the no messages abroad scenario means that unless i can port my present tariff across, the iphone 4 is a none starter.

Your's may only work on wifi but mine plays tvcatchup fine over 3G, I have no wifi signal at all at work so everything is done over 3G.

I now only watch stuff on my iphone when I cannot be bothered to transfer new movies to my iPad, still managed to watch a couple of films the last time I was in work before I nodded off ;)

Nah, I don't think I would miss it all that much. The combined 3G and T-Mobile reception will be so good you will never have to use wi-fi. Plus, for me, anyway, I'm never really near to Cloud hotspots so it isn't of all that much importance to me!

Once we can pre-order will we see the prices of the handset on all monthly tariffs?

My employer pays my phone bill - not sure if they'll pay for the phone so might just bump up my tarrif to get it for free but at the same time, I don't want to rip the ****...

Can't speak for T-Mobile, but when I checked the Orange website yesterday (site seems to be down now, so I can't double check), it said you get BT Openzone and Cloud Hotspots as part of your plan. But using those counts towards the 750MB fair usage limit. Whereas o2 is still unlimited with Wifi Hotspots.

i have the above link in my history, havent checked the rest of the site tbh. they only have one tariff @ £25! no other options?!

*just noticed, thanks

"Separate Fair Usage policies of 750MB / Month apply to both BT Openzone Wi-Fi and Mobile Internet Browsing. Handset unlocking charges may apply. See terms for full details."

Think I'm going to sit back and watch the showdown between the 5 networks before I make any decisions.

O2 has just made the contract vs payasyougo iPhone decision for me - 500mb data cap - no thanks! I will stick to my £20 unlimited!

I'm also very tempted to go PAYG. Just need to wait and see what the prices are like for the phone.

Does anyone know roughly how much the 3GS was PAYG when it came out? I've seen people mention around £450 to £500, is that about right?
