*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Whats all this about pre-order from Apple?

They going to be offering them unlocked or something or will you have to choose a sim from an operator top go with it?

will you not pre order from your carriers website, ie o2 or whoever ?

Probably, but I'm thinking about getting it delivered to give me a longer window to sell my current 3G.

I don't have a spare handset laying around :o

Just a little heads up I think Vodafone have 'indicated' their iPhone 4 Tariffs

Yesterday, I phoned up asking them about iPhone tariffs as online I could only see 24mths, and data was shown as Unlimited.

Chap on the phone confirmed its 24 mths ONLY.

Today, go on the website, there's 18 mth contracts available, and the data usage is shown as 1024mb.

So I think that's the tariffs they'll have, and since Vodafone has far superior signal where I am, it's a no brainer!

Unlimited data on all smartphone tariffs is a promotion until 1 October 2010. Excessive usage policy and terms apply.

Does this mean until October its unlimited or its unlimited if you take the tariff out before October?

Just phoned o2, and no signs of pre-order dates other than the 24th. or the woman didnt have a clue her self!

Apple confirmed that pre-orders are happening on the 15th, but they don't have details on which carrier they'll offer yet.

I asked when exactly on the 15th we can pre-order, and accidentally closed the live chat window! Doh!

I asked and Jenny said that "she could not speculate that".

There gonna drip feed us stuff we already know HAHA!

DAY 15 Microsim
DAY 14 OS4
DAY 13 ITS A PHONE.....

Please not an email everyday :S

T-Mobile are getting it and my contract is up for renewal in January. Do I wait that long? Hmmm decisions.

There is no way it's going to be anywhere near £600

Hopefully it will still be in the £400-£500 price range. How can a phone be the same price as the ipad....and not a million miles away from an imac?

with any luck apple will do away with the 3g and 3gs and just have the 4 as the standard

I hope anyway
