When MS joined Ferrari they were the 3rd best constructor from 95 a distant 3rd. When Alonso joined Ferrari were a distant 4th last year. I'd say last years ferrari relative to the 95 ferrari is very comparable.
Most of Ferrari's points last year were coming from 1 driver as their lead driver (up to his accident Massa was in front of Kimi) was out of action for much of the season. Even that being the case, Kimi managed to score a good amount of points. It's a little unfair to compare Ferrari's 4th place in 2009, with their 1995 placing.
I would rather drive a 2010 Ferrari than a 1996 Ferrari.
looked like they were on heavier fuel runs most of that session, testing out what the softs will do over longer periods, i'd expect to see them pull out some decent times in FP3.
cant wait for qually, watching lemans in the meantime though, quite a good weekend for motorsport
Yer, you really can't underestimate Ferrari and if they can get back in the game for the second half of the season then we are in for some very special Alonso/Lewis/Massa/Vettel/Button/Webber dog fights.
