360 "slim" and natal to be called Kinect?

Meh, I think ill stick to my black jasper console for now until they release a proper updated next gen console. I cant warrent the hassle of changing consoles for those few "non-neccasary" additionals

What is it with these guys? First there's that Joystiq unboxing video of the guy throwing it around, then this one. For people in the industry, they don't seem to know the first thing about how to treat the hardware.

Why is it unworthy? Im sure there are plenty of people that would do something like (ok maybe not as clued up as we are on here) as that is not something you would expect to happen.

If the disk drive really is super quiet then I will not need to install so many games so the 250gb seems to be too much.

Why would you want to move your console while playing a game anyway?

If you are young and nieve then you might be playing a game and your mum asks you to move the console off the floor, or if you have just bought an xbox console and your playing a game, your friend comes on msn and you want to show him your latest toy on the webcam, you pick it up to place it infront of the cam and wham, next minute you know you have a scratch ring.

Microsofts next ploy to get money out of users buying replacement games

"We dont have RROD no mores, but NOW OUT, DVDROD"

End of the day a slight accidental knock could end up with this result, its up to them to stop something as easy as this happening.

You're actually going with "showing my friend my console over webcam" as a justification for moving a console whilst it's switched on? :o

If someone is stupid enough to leave a £200 purchase lying on the floor, then I find it hard not to think that the consequences are deserved, quite frankly.

what's the noise like on the latest xbox's and the expected noise of the new one? brothers is really loud to the point that it's impossible to play games late at night if the volume needs to be low, but then his is one of the first models.

This. Those guys in that video are obviously complete and utter morons who are just out for a bit of press. Who would honestly be stupid enough to move a console/laptop/computer etc while it's got a disc spinning inside?! You're just asking for trouble!

They claim the new one is whisper quiet but then none of us have one yet so it's a little difficult to confirm that...

If his machine is that loud, I would suspect that he's not installing the games to the hard drive and that if he did so it would help immeasurably.
