Why does the picture quality of contacts suck when you either have them downloaded to each contact via Facebook Sync or have them saved to the contact in Google Contacts?

My house mate came home with a HD2 today and his pictures are amazing quality!

Am I missing something, or is this an Android barcode on one of the women from the Holland match -

I think that the girl in orange was one of the girls in Robbie Earls dodgy seats at the Holland Denmark game (the ones that got him sacked from ITV) that were used by Bavaria beer for a bit of viral advertising. My guess is that the bar code would take you to a website for Bavaria beer.

I ported my number from O2 to T-Mobile yesterday. Everything went OK but in the Settings > About Phone > Phone Identity the old T-mobile number is listed under Phone Number.

I've tried turning the phone off then back on to see if it syncs with T-Mobile but it hasn't changed.

Is there any way of changing it or is it stuck like that?

It's not a major problem, just a bit annoying.

Try updating your contact card in "People".

whats the deal with rooting, had a quick flash around and found some good info, im used to jailbreaking iphones so doing something like this isnt uncommon for me.

quesiton:
when you root do you lose all your saved stuff on the phone? or does it effectively create a mirrored os on the sd card that you can boot to via the bootmanger?

The phone gets wiped so you lose any user data on the phone. SD card remains as is.

So back up your data beforehand using the many tools and apps available.

Google restrict the images to 96x96 and they resize any uploaded images as well. When a contact calls, the phone enlarges the images and give you crap quality :-(

It's a rather annoying issue :-(

To stop this, you need to use the phone contacts which gives you high res pics. Only problem is you need to remove all Google contacts as, even if you turn off the Google contacts within the phonebook, it overrides the phone and shows the low quality image when someone calls :-(

what apps? I was under the impression most of them needed your phone to be actually rooted beforehand
