They are practically bending you over and giving you one up the Marmite Mine. But people are stupid enough to buy and pay these prices (including me). I'm on Simplicitiy 20 or something so will keep my Unlimited Data plan for as long as i keep the contract which is a 30-day rolling thingy.

The prices may be, but what you are getting for your money is not. The equivalent simplicity to mine has gone up £5 and you don't get mms or unlimited data anymore.

iPhone4 32Gb £279 on a 18 month contract.
So my iPhone plan is, (already on 02 with 32Gb 3GS, contract ends 23rd Jan 2011)
Cost me £140 to end current contract now.
Sell iPhone to 02 for £240
£240 - £140 = £100 left
£100 left from 3GS.
New 18 month contract with 02 for iPhone4 £35pp.
Going to cost me £279 - £100 = £179 for the new iPhone4.

Wayyyyy too expensive for an iPhone 4 on o2. The prices are high because they know people will pay those prices. I won't though, doesn't seem worth it to me. At least I can look forward to playing with os4 on my iPod touch 3G
I'll stick to my trusty G1 until t-mobile give me an upgrade in August, hopefully all the iPhone 4 hype will have died off a bit and I can get a good deal on an upgrade to iPhone 4.

Pay & Go tariffs
You may know this, but you don't need a monthly contract to get an iPhone. iPhone 4 will be coming soon to Pay & Go but it won't be available at launch. When we have more information on pricing we will let you know.
Just not at launch. Argh! I have to re-think plans to get one now!!
I won't be signing up to any of O2's new tariffs with limited data and will be keeping the tariff I have as long as I can, may buy the pay as you go handset from them if it is much cheaper than I can buy direct from Apple but I doubt it after seeing Orange's prices.
I doubt you can squeeze a better deal because the iphone has it's premium.
