*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

I'm going £30, 18 months on O2 works out at 749 total cost. Less £125 for my O2 open code, less £192 for recycling my 16GB 3g and my old Tytn I found last week.

Brings it down to £432 for 18 months.

i'm wondering if it be worth it if you get the £40 p/m for 24 months and pay £180 for the 32 gig iphone then 1 month before the next iphone sell the 32 gig and buy the next iphone pay as you go and continue the contract?

Problem is I dont know where to go in regards to new iphone. The more we are kept in the dark from o2 the more I just like my 3Gs seeing as it does almost everything the 4 does. Its not like im going to know many people to make a video call !

I'm in the same situation. The thing is, can you hold out until next year? Or will you give in a couple of weeks from now?

Is it not strange that all the 18month contracts are all cheaper overall than the 24month contracts? I see that as a no-brainer or am I missing something?

The 6 months where you'll have to pay for simplicity or get another contract.

Over all they're cheaper but on a month to month basis they cost more.

I think I've figured out what I'm going to do. I'm currently on O2 iPhone Simplicity 20 - 1 Month rolling contract:

300mins
Unlimited Data and Text & Wifi
Visual Voicemail

£20.00 per month

I have a recycle price of £150.00 for my 3G 8GB handset. I'm going to buy a handset from Apple and take out a 12 month iPhone Simplicity 20 contract now - keeping my unlimited data for a year.

16GB iPhone4 = 499.00 - £349.00 taking recyle into account
iPhone Simplicity 20 - 12 month (£15.00 per month) = £180.00
300mins
Unlimited Data, Text & Wifi
Visual Voicemail

Total = £529.00 with handset recycle discount
£679.00 without handset recyle discount

Anyone see any flaws with my plan or are there any better options on O2? I've already given O2 my details for a microsim to be delivered, so I should be able to transfer my contract to a microsim using the o2 website.

What you also need to know if you are considering a early upgrade is wether or not they will honour the deal if it goes past the 24th July and they are still out of stock of iphone 4s. Thats what I want to know because thats one of two facts I need confirming before I buy. The other one is when and if you can order the white one during this upgrade period. If not its deffo pay n go when its out.

Im a little confused by the O2 table hope someone can clear it up for me? I have no contract currently or iphone.
Can I get a 12m @ £15 or £20 simplicity tariff and pay £179/£119 for the phone?

Does anyone else just not know what the **** to do?

Are the Apple reserved iPhone 4's only on PAYG or new contracts? I dunno whether to just early upgrade my contract for £120 and start a new one or just buy the phone outright and use the current contract.

The subsidised cost of the phone on a new contract isn't as cheap as I was expecting. Might just recycle my 3GS and buy one sim free.

I've changed my mind about what to do, I worked it out. Over the next 18 months, minus the 235 I got for my 3GS, it'll cost me, including the phone:

16gb on 18 month 40/month contract: £784 inc £64 on the day
32gb on 18 month 40/month contract: £874 inc £155 on the day
16gb sim free, 40/month til April then 20/month simplicity: £834 inc £264 on the day

Sod it, going to get the 32gb and the contract, the contract's not too horrendous.
