Well support isnt , and shouldnt be, based on blind faith imo. If something is shown that warrants support, even if its merely an improvement on past performances then support can be expected. If the performance is utter dross then of course support should falter. If thats not how support worked then no manager would ever get sacked, no government would ever lose an election.

Gerrard, Rooney, Terry, Lampard world class my backside. Cashley as much as I hate him is the only one who does look world class. Johnson was skinned time and time again.
I'd bench Rooney for the next game without doubt and one of lampard or gerrard.

But he's right. England fans get too over emotional and it's all doom and gloom. The situation could be a lot lot worse. If they **** up after the next match then by all means boo away. Not now.
However looking at him in particular this match he did very little in comparison to his past. Thought he was injured at one point.
makes me livid that he can say that. In the past it has perhaps been unjustified but that was the worst performance I've ever seen by England by a mile. I hope people boo their plane when it returns : /
Completely agree, rooney should have been taken off on the first substitution from the way he was playing, heskey was playing really well in my opinion, him and defoe would have been a better combination.

Being serious I think one of the best things that could happen now is a big bust up between the all players behind closed doors, get it all of their chest and start again.

How are ALGERIA better than us? Every time they attacked it was passes to feet all the way up the pitch, we couldn't manage that if there was no opposition on the pitch. Only at one point in the game did we not just lump the ball up field and that was right after Heskey came off, we had two good periods of play where we actually passed the ball around.
And is Capello an idiot? I have to ask, was he ever actually a good manager? He just seems to make really **** decisions, his subs are some of the worst I've ever seen. What is it going to take for him to remember that he has Joe Cole in the squad and doesn't need to have Gerrard/SWP/Rooney on left wing?

They will go to the next game with the same tactics, play the same kind of game, probably fluke a win and people will be praising them again because they qualify and forget these last 2 games. England need some massive changes. Some big names who are living on reputation need to be dropped.
