Things you could do when you where young....

Climb trees for me, well, I could do it if I wanted, but I'd be scared, I remember I used to climb right to the top, not, only about 3 meters off the ground I'm like OMG I'M GONNA FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's why we chose to live where we do - it's sort of like going back in time here as all the kids play together in the street or the parks, everyone looks out for everyone else.

Also, we have an extremely low crime rate and the kids can leave their bikes outside the house for an hour and it would still be there when they went back out.

Personally I miss the double features that we used to get at the cinema with ice creams in the interval. Oh yes, and in the summer the big open air swimming pools / lidos that we used to visit. We would spend all day there with some plastic wrapped sandwiches.

Leaving your house unlocked, wondows open, doors open on hot days, and not getting robbed, eaten by foxes, etc.

Get a clip round the ear from a copper for stealing a bottle of lemonade off the Maine lorry. Then going home and telling my ma a copper hit me and why. Then getting cracked by my ma with the wooden spoon.

This. Stealing tennis balls from school to play cricket with. Getting a clip by the headmaster, made to work in the school gardens for two Saturdays, watched over by my old man and clipped again if I started slacking.

Old people telling us to be quiet if we were noisy. Us apologizing and walking away quitely instead of stabbing the moany old *****.

Not having a computer or internet and being forced to use the library to complete tasks. When's the last time any of us saw the inside of a library?

Playing with toys... Who's with me, sign a petition to allow all people of all ages to play with toys without the fear of ridicule.

I found all my limited edition Action M(e)n in the loft a few weeks ago and I so had to fight myself to not start making 'peow', 'shwoop' and ''bang' noises, and of course had to fight the urge to play at all...

being able to run about playing football all day, and into the night, without getting the slightest bit tired, know i'm half dead after 15 minutes :(.

I do remember being outside and playing outside a lot more.

Before mobile phones of course, you had to "call round" for people if they weren't at the park at the designated time.

Knock knock knock...
Door opens...
"Is Matthew in?"

*Or*

"He can't come out today because he has homework to do"
