I've never played CoD online, but it would be nice if they could add more stuff for ranks, otherwise you might as well lock the rank you get when you unlock the final item.

cod 1 uo possibly best fps game online cod 2 still one of biggest and cod 4 is very good a lot better than this game just marred by the amount of hackers in it.

cod 4 is the one to beat still though. cod mw2 dont even exist to be honest its that poor


as for patch hope they hurry up im losing patience with these ea nabs. quite like the game.

Had an amazing game earlier today, everything was going my way.
However, I'm now almost at the worst stage of trying to get gold stars for all the weapons - I've got to do the jump from silver to gold with the sniper rifles. Ugh! It's going to be rubbish! Any tips (really don't want to sit in a bush and wait for the enemies to walk into my crosshairs).

Red dot scope A lot of the sniper rifles can kill in 1 bodyshot at short range

Nooby question I know but... do you mean my graphic card drivers?

Getting very confused, none of my favourites ever show as being online. They are always greyed out.
Is there a file I can edit somewhere and fix it or is this a common bug?
No doubt it's been addressed, but I haven't seen it in my rough scanning.

Ok well I have got past the graphics issue.

Now whenever I log into a server I am getting kicked something along the lines of;

"punkbuster.exe handshake failed"

or something like that.

Anything I can do about this new problem

Go to Services, right click on PnkBstrA got to Properties and set it to Automatic, do the same for PnkBstrB.

Worked for me.

So i finally decided to buy the game, but the only problem is it wont start.
My screen goes black when i click on it, then it goes back to the desktop, and start task manager says its stop responding, any ideas?
I'm running Catalyst 10.6 & fully updated BC2

Sorry mate go to Services on your PC.

Click the Windows button and type 'Services' it should come up with a sign like a cog.

go into documents folder under your name, go in to my documents, then BFBC2 folder and delete the settings file (the one at the bottom) it might fix it, you will just have to sort your resolution out after ingame.

I hate the fact the server list is blank every time I start BC2, so I have to refresh before each play and that takes some time.
