Hair Straighteners :s

GHDs are genuinely so much better than anything else. Being a great big gayer as you all would put it, I straighten my hair and used a friends GHDs a few weeks back. They are miles better than anything else, so much easier.

Women with curly hair are hotter. Tell her that and use that £100 towards an SSD!

haha i love this response!

GHD are good apparently but super expensive i used to have several pairs as girlfriends used to always leave a pair at my house and then never collect them once we broke up! I could have started a GHD shop by the time i left Dubai. Haha

I hate the way everyone claims GHDs are the best. No, they aren't. There are far cheaper alternatives which look and do exactly the same job.

Do girls even bother about GHDs anymore? Probably not, yet everyone on here seems to think they do.

Keep yer pantyhose on there lass.

Yes, £100+ is worth the money to have straight hair.

It's not like it's £100 every time. If you use GHD's you are unlikely to need to use styling products if you are just leaving your hair straight, they last for ages (well mine are 3 years old with almost daily use on my shoulder length hair and still going strong).

How much have you guys spend on hair wax/gel or various other styling products in that time?

I'll answer that. £20 max! :D

Yep we do, and pretty much every salon will use them too. They may not necessary be the best but it's a trusted brand. Like an iPod, may not be the best mp3 player but it's trusted and unless you want to do hours of research you go with the bring brand.

Plus the after sales support is really good

People will pay well in excess of that for items of clothing to make themselves look nice, so why not?
I'd happily buy an expensive tool over a cheap one if I knew it would give superior results and I knew I'd be using it often enough to justify the outlay.

Take this from someone who's friends are 90% female, or gay, or lesbians...yes...yes they do.

Why?

Because they work, I use GHD's and I've used cheaper brands and they don't do as good a job.

Yes and like Apple, they are over hyped and generally on par with the markets cheaper alternatives. It doesn't take a load of research either.

I'm just saying to the men out there: Not all girls follow the crowd and demand a set of overpriced GHDs.

I've been getting my hair straightened with GHDs at T&Gs for the past 4 years and still maintain the exact same results with the cheaper variety. As does my GF and a lot of girls I know.

:)
