Woot, my battery is still well above 90%. I have barely used it mind you, but it looks like it was the alarm killing mine.

Pay day next week, so spare battery, a dock, pouch and a car dock will be on order! Car dock would come in handy on Wednesday but no doubt it will again at some point.

LOL nope wouldnt touch a Samsung even if you paid me...as ive said before the iphone is going to be my multimedia toy...my daily driver is the BB 9700 and nothing is going to replace that other than a newer BB.

As far as the iphone4 goes...if i dont like it ill sell it...but having an ipod touch i know what to expect so ill probably keep it...saying that tmobile is going to be doing the iphone4 soon so by the time my upgrade comes round ie end of july im gonna see what they offer me with regards to another iphone4...if they do me a good deal without shafting me...hihgly unlikely but never know...then ill get one from them and sell it...again £££'s:p:D
 
Well Spawn, I cant see a single deal for the iPhone 4 that isn't stupidly overpriced for what it is :p

I'll keep an eye out though!
 
Has anyone tried out r-18 yet ?

Is fake flash a one time flash then, Install ROMS through this clockwork menu ?

I am rooted, I just don't understand all this talk of recovery images and ext3, I dont use A2SD (Yet), Do i need to format and set up a partition on my SD card ?

Just use Rom Manager. Does all that for you.
 
This phone has crappy low Battery life

From 100% at 8am to 18% by 5pm :mad:


Guess it to be expected with a 1Ghz CPU and large screen with only a 1400mAh battery..

I had that too, I think after 5 or so recharge cycles it lasts longer.

I think using SetCPU has made a huge difference though, Just underclock - no undervolt which i would imagine will save more precious battery time.

Another fine reason to get rooted and flash some custom ROM's.

RobbieFTW - Could you clear something up for me...

I have rooted my Desire (0.80 Bootloader) with r6-desire-root-alt.

I have flashed Pays-Desire-Sparta_v1.2 ROM and all going fine.

I want to try Paul's r-17 (Or 18) Froyo FRF72 but, I have twenty odd tabs open trying to understand what i need to do and how i do it, The custom recovery image, Can i use the one i used for Sparta ?

Do i need to do a NANDROID backup ? Is this incase of a bad flash ?

SD card format and ext 3 ?

I don't have anything on the card or phone i want to keep so i can wipe no problem.
 
Couple of SMS questions

1) where are the delivery reports ??

2) everytime i receive an SMS the time shown on it is 1 hour late
