This phone has crappy low Battery life

From 100% at 8am to 18% by 5pm

Guess it to be expected with a 1Ghz CPU and large screen with only a 1400mAh battery..

mine was crap until week two.

get in to the habit of turning wifi and blutooth off during the day, put the quick switches on your desktop and its not a hassle.

Not sure what I've done here but I don't seem to be able to backup/restore using Rom Manager anymore.

I backed up my vanilla rom earlier then loaded r17 from Modaco. However, if I try to backup, restore or load a rom the device reboots and then I just get an image of a phone with a red triangle and exclamation mark on the screen.

I've tried re-installing ROM Manager and tried with different roms. I've also booted up with the back button held down and chose Recovery with the same result.

If I take the battery out it reboots into r17 OK, but I want my original rom back, I'm finding r17 is a little sluggish in comparison.

Any ideas?

Quick question, messing about with some other ROMs and having to restore all my apps afterwards is a pain because I have to click Install on each one. Is there a way to automate this? I just want all the apps installed.

Are you using the backup/restore tab to restore or the Menu > Batch > Restore al apps + data option?

The latter would be the way it does it auto IIRC!

Is there a backup app that doesn't require root?

I only ask as I am going to root my device and all the ones i've seen so far seem to require root to work, which kind of defeats the purpose for me.
