Reyland powered Westfield project

The new dash is better, but I would recess the digital gauge it into the carbon fibre and move it down a bit, so that it doesn't form a lip at the top of the dash board.

You would struggle to see the entire digi dash if it was lower.

Amazing built! Do very much want! :D

Right. Update time as its pretty much finished now.

New mounts for lap belt section of the harnesses sorted and the interior is pretty much all back in. The dash is pretty much done now bar a tiny bit of wiring.

Water injection all piped and wired up running off the T6 with the flow monitor system.

Fire system 95% done, just needs nozzles fitting.

Wheel studs all replaced to suit the wider track and spacers

Front discs skimmed and refitted

Front Caterham CSR style Aero wings done

Exhaust sorted (shoddy Hayward and Scott) and mounted correctly.

I just need to modify the rear diffuser so the wishbones dont foul on droop, wire in the front wheel speed sensors for the launch/traction, change the cam seals (joy) and then take it for a test drive to see what falls off!!

Well the keen amongst you will notice I have changed the thread title.

I did a final couple of bits today and then took it for a shakedown to see what broke, fell off or didnt work as expected.

Little bit of tinkering the fuel map and it was running really nice for a 10 mile test drive.

Good news is nothing fell off, caught fire, broke or misbehaved.

Drives really nice, all feels very tight and am really happy.

Geometry needs a little tinker as I have only set it up by eye at the moment.

Quick pic before I went for the drive.

The final power figure was 467bhp on a GT3071 turbo which gives it around 650bhp per tonne!

That's all the pics I have.....Lee's Westfield project is finished....for now!

As a side point Stu, the guy who did most the work on this Westfield also had his Westfield mapped by Reyland.

Stus car on the rollers now... Making mine look silly!

760bhp per tonne at moment!

And stu and martoon is drinking becks! More ignition going in!!!

The final power figure is below which make it 802 bhp per tonne

Nice project, but I still think people who put massive turbo nutter engines into 7's are missing the point a bit.

judging by the handling mods the guy has done he wants the turbo nutter down the straights AND the awesome lightweight handling like a go kart feeling.

Having your cake AND eating it comes to mind :D
