And the worst thing is that I cannot possibly win...
I don't mention my job "at every possible opportunity", I.E what I do now - Fox thinks that his smarmy "Pep Talk" worked.
I start to mention my job more often - Fox will undoubtedly bring it up in our next "discussion".

I'm not trying to say that I'm completely hush about about my job, but Fox and his band of merry followers are trying to make out that I mention it "At every available opportunity" and as a defence for my questionable opinions and views, when I quite clearly don't.
You do mention it a great deal as though it puts you on some kind of higher pedestal.
