The latest updates today

Anyone installed those 4 updates for windows 7 today ? my cpu usage seems to have shot up but it's hidden doesn't seem to appear in task manager ?
Is it the new net frame work ? don't know which update it is but one of the 23/06/10 updates makes my idle temps go from 38 to 52 and task manager says 0% cpu usage

My CPU usage seems ok BUT the .NET update failed on two of four Windows 7 x64 machines. I've raised a ticket with Microsoft.

I uninstalled all 23/06/10 updates temps have gone back to normal no idea what it is but looks like some hidden service / process using the cpu

Are you clicking "show processes for all users"?

If there are .net updates then the CPU usage might just be a few things compiling in the background and it should stop after a few minutes.

yea first thing I checked all on 0% usage maybe you are right maybe just takes a fw minutes whatever it is doing to stop using the cpu i did give it about 15 mins though and was still at 52c idle from 38c.

I'll see if it happens to anyone else

AFAIK the .NET Framework will compile itself when its first installed - this is perfectly normal.

Just downoaded them with no issues.

Win7 HP x64, Avast AV and windows firewall both in action.

Seems fine here. All 4 updates installed fine and checking my CPU seems about the normal level it has been.

Got it on the second attempt, as I could not connect to the Internet after installing the updates, had to reboot the home hub .

I can't even manually download the update, it fails (even with AV off). Weird.
