New Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II

Some super rich collector from somewhere will probs not think twice about giving £100k to have it in their collection. Will more than likely be one of their "cheaper" cars.

Pretty much the reality of it. It's like me (on a MUCH smaller scale) when I am purchasing old home computers for my collection. When I see the mint boxed ones I bid a grand because I know the vast majority of people bidding against me are not as keen or even willing to spend that much. Mind you, it does mean I paid £350 for an Atari 800XL once, though it was MINT :D

Superb, but I think I would rather own a *mint* E30 M3 for a a quarter of that!

There were a pair of e30 m3s that were found recently that had a similarly low mileage, they were sold privately but speculation was that it was about £100k each.

I'd love a 190 evo2 but i'd want to drive it and i'd be scared to drive that example.

Modern day German car makers should take note of things like this.

No modern day special hot german car will look this awesome in 20 year. They will all be drab boring mundane generic drizzel.

Same bloke, nice barn find. Purchased the RS200 along with the two E30s and the 190.

^^

Compared to some of the sheer lunacy and bonkers specials that Homologation racing bred, some of the cars above look a bit "tame".

Agreed, but this is in response to german manufacturers making "specials hot german cars" that will look bland in 20 years time. The Evo, as wonderful as it is, is not what I would class as a "bonkers" homologation special, it's a wood and leather interior 190 with a relatively mildly tweaked mill and a bodykit. A 6R4 and its group B brethren *are* homologated nutjobs, but have nothing to do with my response above though.

I love the 190E, always have always will.

With the above in mind the car in the OP is like the second coming of jesus, very very nice but not worth the cash.

Wiesmann GT MF5.

It looks stunning.
I've only ever seen one and it was in Paris of all places.
Doesn't sound half bad, either!
