Morning all

Mines on the van out for delivery :)

Big question now is do I cut down my sim or get a micro sim form the Vodafone store when the queue dies down (Voda sent me an ipda sim & dont want to risk it not working )

Cheers

I'm in the queue at the u2 store Oxford. It's not to bad about the same as the 3G release. I got here at 7.20. So dunno what time the people at the front got in! Nutters. If I don't get an u2 one phones 4 u open at 10 so I'll try there

I walked down to be greeted by this queue. I swiftly did a 180 and walked back home!

I'm feeling more and more ashamed to be a Apple user. This cult following for a phone is just ridiculous, no other phone creates this much hysteria.

<snip>
There has got to be a smarter way to queue than that.

Cambridge:
O2 store had a massive queue.
Apple store also had a large queue, only had 70 units between both pre-orders and walk ups. Had enough for about 1/3 of the walk ups when I arrived at 0730 so they put me on a priority list for when more stock comes in a few days.

Brentwood o2 shop has around 100 handsets in stock and there were over 50 people in the queue at opening time.

Mine's out for delivery.

I looked at trustedreviews this morning, and was extremely disappointed to see the potential problems waiting for me when my £600 phone arrives. It looks to me as though the quality control has been poor and that the iPhone 4 has been rushed to market.

This takes away some of that Apple user experience which most people pay more for, and I'm now left instead worrying I'll get a decent version.

I really don't get it, I would turn away from a store if there is more than 5 moon wait, we queue enough in our lives already, queuing since dawn is insane!

It's been suggested that it's a problem with iOS4 as the problem also occurs with 3G/3GS handsets running the new software.

Orange think mine should be out on delivery today, latest tomorrow - happy with that :)

Reception seems to be fine on my 3GS running iOS4
