*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Ever since my ipad I cant get used to my old 3g, my contracts up end of august but I will no doubt get one then. Hard resisting but the £40 o2 want upfront to upgrade early is a cheek thats helping :)

I have had no screen issues (as yet)
Reception has been no diff than that of with my 3G or 3GS.
I also have an Orange 3G (work phone) and that also has Reception issues so its not all misery for 02 users

I Just read this on the yellow screen problems:

“Apple is using a bonding agent called Organofunctional Silane Z-6011 to bond the layers of glass. Apparently, Apple (or more likely Foxconn) is shipping these products so quickly that the evaporation process is not complete. However, after one or two days of use, especially with the screen on, will complete the evaporation process and the yellow “blotches” will disappear.

How do I know? I was involved in pitching Z-6011 to Apple.”

Hmmm... Stick it in the airing cupboard anyone?

Did your apple shop have 2 lines? The one in Kingston only had one which was looonnng so I will just collect it later tonight.

I'm still waiting for my sim to activate - been waiting for about an hour and a half now for the activation to kick in. everything else is fine.

Anyone else still waiting for the sim to activate?

That's interesting! :)

If it turned out that the reception problem is only on some models (Which according to a few blogs I'm reading, it is) would you be able to just ask for a replacement?

Interesting to see this, although tbf the Nexus One launched with multitouch issues and complete touchscreen failure so it's not unheard of.
