having both paddles able to both change up and down is very confusing
BMW and Porsche both tried it, got slated and binned it.

I've got the paddles on the 335d and it took a while to get used to, but once you do it works quite well
thing is you shouldnt have to learn a different system compared to the others. Conventionally flappy paddles are both pull, left for down, right for up.
Its strange for drivers who've come from other paddles that when they pull on the right paddle, it changes down, not up !

I hardly see the issue. In fact it was the one thing I really liked about the BMW system. Thumb to change down, fingers to change up. Hardly difficult, given I can ride a bike and have to implement a similar system to change gear.

Other than the obvious BMWness you'll never get away from it really isnt that similar to the E60, which is why a lot of E60 fans think the new car is bland and a lot of people who were not keen on the E60 really rather like the F10. It's a different style to the E60, not sure how you can say it looks very similar.

I love the front and side, but I'm not sure about the back. Hopefully the saloon looks better in that department.

Looks good to me, especially for a dark CGI image of a dark paint job, where you don't really get a true feel for the overall look of the car.
Aggressive without being chavvy, slick without being boring. I'm surprised that people are saying it looks dull, as the sideskirts in particular look fairly edgy to me for an exec.
I must say though I vastly prefer the 18" wheels. The 19" versions look like flower petals, or tuning forks, or vaginas.

The M6 wheels were not played out by BMW at all. You can only get them on M5 and M6. How is it BMWs fault if all the ebay crowd buy loads of fake ones for e46?

I think the new 5 looks brilliant but the bodykit on the M Sport looks a bit... council
